This module introduces the field of Disability Management.  It provides an overview of what Disability Management is all about and explores best practice principles that are further investigated in other KMG Health Partner modules. It provides knowledge, technical skills and transferable skills associated with employer-based Disability Management program development and implementation. The resulting program keeps workers with disabilities in work and returns individuals with disabilities to work.

Case Management Principles & Practice

This module introduces Case Management: a best practice principle in Disability Management.  It provides details of what a Case Manager does, what competencies they need, their roles and responsibilities and the positive impact they have in keeping workers focused on staying in and returning to work.  It also illustrates the process that a Case Manager applies, usually outside of the workplace, to successfully achieve the goals of overcoming impairment and supporting the return to work plan.

Workplace Assessment / Job Analysis

This module introduces Workplace Assessment: a best practice principle in Disability Management.  It provides details of what an Assessor does, what competencies they need, their roles and responsibilities and the positive impact they have in matching workers to work so they can return to their jobs in a safe and secure fashion.  It also illustrates the process that an Assessor uses in completing a Job Analysis, the assessment most often used during Disability Management and Return to Work activity.
